  1. Clean the teak prior to polishing to remove surface dirt. Combine 1 gallon warm water and a squirt of mild dish soap in a bucket.
  2. Drench a cleaning rag in the solution and squeeze out excess water.
  3. Wipe the cloth over the teak wood, following the grain.

  4. Rinse the cloth with clear water, squeeze out excess water again and wipe over the teak to remove soap residue. Allow the wood to air dry.
